SICL: Check for Instrument Configurations at Pre-Run Phase Read Me

This sample program shows its own device configuration.

Date: Sep 2003

Version: 1.0

Language: Agilent VEE Pro

Instruments: SCPI Instruments

OS Requirements: Microsoft® Windows® 98 SE, NT® 4.0, ME, 2000, or XP

Additional Software: Agilent IO Libraries M.01.01.04 (or later)

This program shows two features: 1. It has its own device configuration embedded when it was saved. You can see this by bringing up the Instrument Manager. The device configuration you see will be different from your default one. You can see your default device configuration by selecting File-->New. 2. If you check the Check Instrument Addresses at PreRun checkbox in the Default Preferences dialog box, Agilent VEE Pro will check at PreRun time if the instruments referenced in the Instrument Control Objects are online and accessible. This feature is useful during program development. Your shipping code should have this feature turned off.
