MRI RF coil fabrication requires testing for impedance matching, radiation, and inter-channel coupling. The Keysight MRI RF coil characterization test solution consists of the Keysight E5080B ENA vector network analyzer and the PathWave EM design software. The Keysight network analyzer commonly offers 2, 4, or 6 ports and can be easily scaled to support up to 32 channels, with its multiport version simplifying the testing process significantly. The EM design software simulates and model the environment of the RF coils by analyzing the 3D electromagnetic effects of the RF coils and other high-speed RF or microwave components.
