8960 Quick Test Software

When to use the Program

Run the 8960 Quick Test program whenever a quick check of the 8960 performance is required (i.e. Whenever poor test yield of mobile production occurs). The program will return tested results of internal RF circuitry.

The 8960 Quick Test program can be installed in a system type controller that supports Microsoft Windows.

System Requirements

Your computer must meet these requirements: Windows® 98/2000, Windows NT4.0TM, Windows 2000, and Windows XP, at least 32 MB of RAM, 30 MB of available hard drive space, and a GP-IB card or USB/GP-IB cable. Note: Windows 7 compatibility not fully supported yet.

The 8960 must be connected to the PC with GPIB. The 8960 Quick Test program automatically detects the type of active cellular format running on the 8960 and then runs a suite of internal loopback tests that fully exercise the 8960 internal RF circuitry. The 8960 Quick Test program returns results in a fully displayed test routine and stores the results for future reference or printing. The results are displayed in a Pass/Fail condition based on test specifications developed for the loopback RF conditions.

No external test equipment is required for the 8960 Quick Test program to operate. All tests are automatically implemented by the PC and GPIB connection.

Installation
 

Please uninstall any previous version of 8960 Quick Test.
Download QuickTest11.10.zip
After downloading, extract file to your hard drive and double click QuickTestSetup.exe then follow the instructions on screen.

Running the Program
 

Click Start | Programs | 8960 Tool Box | 8960SelfTest

Make sure all equipment is connected before starting the program.

The next dialog box that appears is the Control Panel. From it you can selectively choose to Run the test, Manage results from previous tests, or consult a Help file.
