IO Libraries Suite 2022
- Initial release of IO Libraries Suite built to support ARM-based Windows systems.
- In general, this version should run on any ARM 8cx/7c processor supported by Windows.
- This release only supports Windows 32-bit x86 applications running under ARM64 emulation; the release does not support 64bit or native ARM64 applications.
Below is a list of supported and unsupported features (in comparison to the Windows product):
Major features supported:
- Utilities including Connection Expert, the Instrument Discovery Service, Interactive IO, and IO Monitor.
- Programming libraries for VISA and SICL.
- IO Interface supported: LAN (HiSLIP, VXI-11/SICL-LAN, and SOCKET), USB/GPIB, USBTMC, RS-232, Remote GPIB, Remote USB.
Major features NOT supported:
- PXI/AXIe
- VXI
- Remote IO Server
- Side-by-side installation with another vendor's VISA implementation
- Programming libraries for VISA.NET and VISA-COM
Note:
- Software that requires Visual Studio must be built on a non-ARM platform and then downloaded to the ARM-based system.
- Keysight does not claim that the Keysight IO Libraries Suite for Windows on ARM is VISA-compliant I/O software since Windows on ARM is not an officially supported operating system for the IVI Foundation VISA Shared Components, unlike Windows
