This revision of firmware provides the 8719D, 8720D or 8722D with two auxiliary measurement channels in addition to the two primary measurement channels, thus all four S-parameter measurements may be displayed simultaneously. If that capability is not desired, please select Firmware Revision 07.14 using the hyperlink on the right panel of this page.

Downloading Instructions

To download the 8719D, 8720D and 8722D firmware upgrade, click on the hyperlink provided. When the "Save As" dialog box appears, save the 8720d764.exe file to your computer''s hard drive.

This file is a Windows self-extracting file. Select start, run and type in the path to the file, or press the browse button to navigate through the directory structure to the file. Select the OK button. This process will uncompress the file.

Installation Instructions

Transfer the firmware file to an MS-DOS formatted 3.5-inch disk. Insert the disk into the network analyzer's floppy-disk drive. If the power is off, turn on the network analyzer to upload the new firmware into the instrument. If the instrument is on, then simply cycle the power to upload the firmware. Once the file has finished uploading, the instrument will display the new firmware revision number. After installation of the firmware upgrade, the 8719D, 8720D or 8722D microwave vector network analyzer is ready for use.

Do not change the filename. The network analyzer will not recognize and load the file if the filename has been changed.
